Expert, Always In Flow . . .

" I'll keep pushing myself. There's always some way to do it better . . . "

Becoming an expert takes time and deliberate practice.

The only thing standing between you as an amateur and you as an expert is DEDICATION.

" If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough "
~ Albert Einstein ~

An expert, also called cognoscente is someone widely recognized as a reliable source of technique or skill whose faculty for judging or deciding rightly, justly, or wisely is accorded authority and status by their peers or public in a specific well-distinguised domain.

An expert, more generally, is a person with extensive knowledge or ability based on research, experience, or occupation and in a particular area of study.

An expert can be, by virtue of credential, training, education, profession, publication or experience, believed to have special knowledge of a subject beyond that of the average person, sufficient that others may officially and legally rely upon the individual's opinion.

5 CHARACTERISTICS OF REAL EXPERT :

1. KNOWLEDGE : Clearly being an expert requires an immense working knowledge of your subject. Part of this is memorized information, and part of it is knowing where to find information you haven't memorized.

2. EXPERIENCE : In addition to knowledge, an expert needs to have significant experience working with that knowledge.

3. COMMUNICATION ABILITY.

4. CONNECTEDNESS : Expertise is, ultimately, social, expeet; experts are embedded in a web of other experts, who exchange new ideas and approaches to problem, and they are embedded in a wider social web that connects them to people who need their expertise.

5. CURIOSITY : Experts are curious about their fields and recognize the limitations of their own understanding of it. They are constantly seeking new answers, new approaches and new ways of extending their field.

HOW TO BECOME AN EXPERT?

You become an expert by focusing on these things :
1. PERPETUAL LEARNING : Invest yourself in a lifelong learning process.

2. NETWORKING : Build strong connections with other people in yor field. Learn to promote yorself to the people who need your skills - The only way you'll gain experience is by getting out and doing.

3. PRACTICE : Practice what you preach.

4. PRESENTATION SKILLS : Learn to use whatever technologies you need to present your expertise in the best possible way. Focus on your writing, drawing, public speaking and the way you dress.

5. SHARING : Share your knowledge widely.

HOW TO IDENTIFY AN EXPERT?

1. COMMITMENT : Experts are enthusiastic about their fields of expertise.

2. AUTHENTICITY : A real expert practices what he/she preaches.

3. OPENNESS : Expertise speaks for itself.

4. OPEN-MINDEDNESS : Experts are always looking for new approaches to the problems they're good at solving. They should also understand the mistakes that non-experts make, and why they're mistakes.

5. CLARITY : An expert should be able to explain to you exactly what they're doing and why.

Keep Moving . . ..Keep Climbing!

" A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song "
~ Maya Angelou ~

At times, our life can feel like it is spinning out of control. We feel completely powerless and overwhelmed by the many factors and circumstances that dictate and shape how we live. During moments like these, it may be easier to give up and accept these conditions, or we can choose to surrender and keep moving forward. Songs can evoke feelings and emotions . . . When we need a charge, a pick me up, we often turn to music and song to find the motivation to keep us moving . .

" The Climb . . . Miley Cyrus "

" . . . . . . . . . .
The struggle I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking.

. . . . . . . .
And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose . .

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the CLIMB, yeah!
Keep on moving, keep climbing
. . . . . . . . . . "

" Excellence is an art won by training and habitation.
We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence,
but rather we have those because we have acted rightly.
We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence, then is not an act but a habit "

"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex . . . It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction."
~ Albert Einstein ~

" Inspiration does not come like a bolt. Nor is it kinetic, energetic striving. It comes into us slowly and quietly all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness."
~ Brenda Ueland ~

Back To School . . . Make Your Brain Full !!!

Back To School Again ~ The four tops

" . . . . I gotta go back, back, back to school again.
Whoa, whoa, I gotta go . . back to school again!

Geometry and history is just a pain,
biology and chemistry destroys my brain.
Well don't they know that I deserve a better fate?
I'm really much too young to matriculate.

. . . You gotta go back, back, back to school again!
It's bye-bye fun, get your homework done.

. . . I gotta go back, back to school again.
Whoa, whoa, I gotta go . . back to school again!"

" The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet"
~ Aristotle ~
