Consistency and Chemistry .

21 & 22 February 2013 @ Pasukan Gerakan Am, Cheras

~ In any team sport, the best teams have consistency and chemistry ~

Petanque is a form of boules where the goal is, while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground, to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet ( literally " piglet " ) or jack. It is also sometimes called a bouchon ( literally " cork " ) or le petit ( " the small one " ). The game is normally played on hard dirt or gravel, but can also be played on grass, sand or other surfaces. Similar games are bocce and bowls.

The current form of the game originated in 1907 in La Ciotat, in Provence, in Southern France. The English and French name Petanque comes from Petanca in the Provencal dialect of Occitant language, deriving from the expression pes tancats, meaning " feet together " or more exactly " feet anchored ".

Seafood Aglio e Olio.

Simple, easy & healthy recipe.

Ingredients :

250g spaghetti ( or similar kind of pasta eg vermicelli, spaghettini, angel hair )
3 heads of garlic, minced
3 pcs dried red chilli flakes, cut into 0.5cm
1 tbsp black pepper
12 pcs large shrimp, peeled and deveined ( headless shrimp )
250g squid, cut into rings
6 pcs button mushroom, sliced
125ml virgin olive oil
Salt to taste
150ml anchovy stock ( 1 cube )
Origano, parsley leaves

How to cook :

1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Wash and drain to avoid pasta from sticking to each other.

2. Heat olive oil in a pan. Keep low heat to preserve the natural flavor of olive oil. Saute garlic until light brown. Add dried red chilli flakes. Stir well until fragrance rises. Add anchovy stock.

3. Add button mushroom, shrimp and squid. Add black pepper and salt to taste. Stir well for 3 minutes.

4. Finally add the pasta into the sauce and mix it well.

5. Garnish with origano and parsley leaves.

Spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino ("spaghetti with garlic, olive oil and chili peppers" in Italian ) is a traditional Italian pasta dish, said to originate traditionally from the region of Abruzzo, although it is popular across the country.
Usually served with spaghetti, the sauce is made by lightly sauteeing minced or pressed garlic in olive oil, sometimes with the addition of dried red chilli flakes. Finely chopped parsley can also be added as a garnish.

A boss says " Go!"
A leader says " Let's go!"

Leadership can be defined as one's ability to get others to willingly follow.

Leadership qualities :

:) Integrity
The integration of outward actions and inner values.
Honest dealings, predictable reactions, well-controlled emotions, and absence of tantrums and harsh outbursts.

:) Dedication
Spending whatever time or energy is necessary to accomplish the task at hand.

:) Magnanimity
Giving credit where it is due.

:) Humility

:) Openness
Being able to listen to new ideas, even if they do not conform to the usual way of thinking.

:) Creativity
The ability to think differently, to get outside of the box that constrains solutions.

:) Fairness
Dealing with others consistently and justly. A leader must check all the facts and hear everyone out before passing judgement. He or she must avoid leaping to conclusions based on incomplete evidence.

:) Assertiveness
The ability to clearly state what one expects so that there will be no misunderstandings.

:) Sense of humor
A form of power that provides some control over the work environment. It is vital to relieve tension and boredom, as well as to defuse hostility.

Intrinsic traits such as intelligence, good looks, height and so on are not necessary to become a leader. Anyone can cultivate the proper leadership traits.

" To lead people, walk beside them ..... As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence "

~ To handle yourself, use your head ;
To handle others, use your heart.

Before you ask him for a hand ~
